Angela Allan
Angela, a single mum of two, says she feels she is “living proof of the dangers of the Named Person scheme”.
She began to encounter problems when a new headteacher arrived at her son’s school.
Angela found out that the headteacher had called a multi agency meeting to discuss her son, but excluded her from attending.
Through a subject access request she was able to obtain the minutes of the meeting and said she was horrified at what she discovered.
The document revealed that at least 15 different people had attended the meeting, some of which she had never heard of.
She said the whole experience, and seeing the information which had been gathered and shared about her and her family, made her feel humiliated and like a bad parent.
